This week on Muddy Monday we went for a walk to the local woods looking for signs of spring. We have been finding out about our senses so we thought carefully about what we could see and described the objects we could feel. We had lots of fun but it really was very muddy!!!
Mums and dads please remember to send the children to school with wellies and spare clothes.
We collected some twigs and branches and Mrs Caldwell and Mrs Williams very cleverly tied them together to make trees. We then developed our fine motor skills by threading ribbon and other materials to make trees for different seasons.
On our walk we also collected lots of different shaped and coloured leaves which we used to make an imprint on clay.
When the clay had dried we painted the plaques with autumn colours.
When the paint had dried we then threaded ribbon and tied our own knots. We are hoping to create a wonderful classroom display.
