We all had so much fun on Red Nose Day!

In Year One we spent the morning baking.

We helped to make delicious cookies.

We made scrumptious chocolate rice crispy cakes.

We made yummy welsh cakes!

We made decorations ready for our big cake bake.

Look how long our paper chain is!

We also practiced singing the Red Nose Day song.

"Can you raise a lot of money?

Doing something really funny?

Can you tell us a joke or three to make us laugh?

Can you juggle with bananas?

Sing a song in your pyjamas?

Can you wear a wig or make your hair look daft?"

Here are our class photos. Everyone made a huge effort to dress in red!

We all had so much fun!

Do you like our funny faces?

In the afternoon we went around the junior stalls.

We bought lots of cakes!

Some of us decided to get a new look! Hair was sprayed red...

...and faces were painted.

Games were played...

...and prizes were won.

Money was spent on loads of lovely things.

We had so much fun with our friends!

Some of us met up with our brothers and sisters which was a real treat.

Some of us got so excited we needed to be put behind bars!

After a busy afternoon we were glad to have a sit down to eat our goodies!

But we recharged our batteries ready for the event we had all been waiting for...

...and got ready...

to cover Miss Harwood in tomatoes!

She was such a good sport!

At the end of the day it was time for the Year 1 Cake Sale.

We sang our Red Nose Day song to our parents.

And then our parents bought ALL of our cakes!

We were so pleased because we had worked hard all day!

A big THANK YOU to all the mums, dads, grans, grandads and anyone else who bought our cakes!

We raised over £100 for Comic Relief.
