What would be the best material to make a coat for Colin to wear in the rain?

We decided the coat would need to be water proof if Colin was to wear it in the rain. We sorted objects into those we thought would be waterproof and those we thought would not be waterproof.



Then we tested some materials, by putting them into the water tray to see if our predictions were right.

The wool got very soggy and would have been no good to make the coat. Paper also got soggy and ripped. Everyone decided the plastic bag material would be the best to make Colin's coat as it would not let the water through.
